On pour day we were lucky enough to have gotten a time lapse of the action!! We hope that you enjoy the peak in to our busy day. This past week was UDM's spring break so there was not much action but we did begin wrapping up our design paper.
We poured the canoe and it is continuing to cure. Our students have been watering the canoe twice a day. We have also been working on the design paper and a carrying case for the canoe. See pictures from Pour Day and from our work on the carrying case.
Since pouring the canoe, we've been busy curing the concrete and working on the report. Yesterday was the ASCE Student Night, which includes a career fair and Engineering Jeopardy. Our students had a great opportunity to interact with practicing engineers (all of whom work for firms that are hiring). They also had a lot of fun winning Engineering Jeopardy (again)! See the picture.
Professors Lynch and Dutta have also continued connections with alumni and reconnected with alumni. It's always exciting to hear from our alumni and the great things they've been doing, also to reminisce a bit.
Means our team will be able to purchase matching clothing to better represent the University at the competition.
Competition means registration fees for each team member.
Funds registration for the competition and helps keep students energized and on their game.
