Tuition Scholarship Assistance

Today more than ever the world needs Titans! And you can help Detroit Mercy students be Titans on campus and in their fields and communities.

The Tuition Scholarship Assistance crowdfunding campaign is raising dollars for expendable scholarship support. Expendable scholarships provide immediate assistance for students who are struggling due to unforeseen circumstances, allowing them to continue progress on their program.

The Tuition Scholarship Assistance crowdfunding supports the following funds:

Completion Scholarships — These scholarships are for students who find themselves ineligible for institutional scholarship renewal and who have also exhausted their loan options. For example, this fund provides financial assistance to students seeking five-year degrees.
Supplemental Scholarships — These scholarships provide financial assistance to students who do not qualify for federal aid or loans, or who may not qualify for need-based or merit-based scholarships.
Unexpected Life Events Scholarships — These scholarships offer financial assistance to students whose personal medical expenses or those of a family member have impacted their financial resources, as well as financial assistance for students (or their parents) who are suddenly unemployed.

Scholar's Friend

Your gift will help students cover the cost of their books, fees and even daily expenses. Forever grateful, Detroit Mercy students will consider you a true friend.

Scholar's Benefactor

As a Scholar's Friend you provide assistance to a Detroit Mercy student who is blind-sided by unexpected emergencies. Your student will call and let you know the difference you made in helping them continue their education.

Scholar's Champion

Students who do not qualify for federal aid or loans, and who may not qualify for a need-based or merit-base scholarship are so grateful to their Scholar's Champion that they will share their story with you in a personal note.

Scholar's Angel

Detroit Mercy seniors call anyone who contributes $1,000 or more a Scholar's Angel. A gift at this level allows a Detroit Mercy senior to pay off his or hers outstanding balance and graduate. Your senior will write you a thank you letter from the heart and you become a President's Cabinet-level donor.
